Mission
The mission of West Oakland Health is to improve the health and socioeconomic status of our community by providing the highest quality of preventive care and for our diverse neighbors throughout the East Bay. We strive to be a hub of health, well-being, connection and inspiration.
Access

- Five service sites located throughout Oakland and Berkeley
- WIC sites Medi-Cal (including Alameda Alliance for Health and Blue Cross managed care), Medicare, private insurance, and private pay accepted Fees adjusted by family income and family size
Clinical Services Highlights
- Primary medical care for adults and children
- Prenatal care and family planning services
- Optometry, podiatry and dental care (pediatrics and adults)
Community Programs
- CalWORKS Case Management: provides case management support to CalWORKSrecipients with mental health and substance abuse problems
- Social services support for homeless and others
- Intensive Learning Center for children with emotional/behavioral problems
- WIC Program: nutritional support for pregnant women and young children
- Breast and Cervical Cancer Program: promotes and supports women in obtaining timely breast and cervical cancer screening treatment
- Community Outreach Department to increase individual and community awareness regarding the importance of lifestyle choices in illness and quality of life
- Food Pharmacy: free vegetables, fruit and staples given out weekly
Behavioral Care

- Substance abuse recovery services and methadone maintenance
- Mental health services
- Breast and cervical cancer control services
- Sexual assault and domestic violence counseling
Community Education
- HIV/AIDS Education and Outreach
- Clinic and community-based health education services
